Leggett and PlattBRANCH 00 79JOB DESCRIPTIONPOSITION: CNC MACHINISTREPORTS TO: MANUFACTURING MANAGERQUALIFICATIONS:Must be able to follow verbal and written instructionsShow previous experience in operating CNC equipment or related fieldsMust have cooperative attitude, necessary to work effectively with othersMust have acceptable attendanceSatisfactorily pass CNC aptitude testMust be able to move quickly from machine to machine and make necessary adjustmentsMust be able to fill out all necessary paperwork accuratelyMust be able to read and understand prints/drawingsMust be able to use and understand basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc)```{=html}``` - Commitment to Quality Management Systems and Continuous Improvement - Commitment to LandP Safety and Environmental initiativesPRIMARY DUTIES:The primary duties of the employee are (but are not limited to) the following:Do machine set-ups and changeoversReport to the supervisor any problems or parts that would create costly downtimeInitiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non- conformity related to the product, process and/or the systemMake sure area is kept clean and orderlyIdentify and record any problems relating to the product, process and to the systemInitiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channelsVerify the implementation of solutionsReport to the supervisor any recommendations to correct machine problems such as performance that effect quality or machine lifeFollow all written procedures, work instructions and quality plansControl further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been correctedWill discontinue production and notify supervisor as needed if process does not fall within specifications or is suspected to be nonconformingConform to all Quality/Safety requirements and proceduresParticipate in the Continuous Improvement Process```{=html}``` - Perform other duties as requested or as deemed appropriateREQUIREMENTS:You must be able to perform these duties on or about 30 daysOperate machinery efficiently.Report any serious problems to the supervisorAccurately use and understand basic inspection tools.Understand work instructions and quality plans for process.You must be able to perform these duties on or about 60 DAYSAble to perform all 30 day requirements.Must be able to perform machine changeovers.Inspect finished product for quality defects.Know and understand all nonconformities and specifications.You must be able to perform these duties on or about 90 DAYSUnderstand all processes involved with the position.
