Must have Machine Tech experience Position Summary: Must be mechanically inclined, able to troubleshoot and take the assigned machine apart and put it back together correctly. Required to pass the Lock-Out/Tag Out course.Responsible for performing numerous tasks in the Blending department that supports the overall operations within the department.Essential Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:Process product using tools and equipment providedFollows all work safety policies and guidelinesObserves equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concernsAdheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) product standards and guidelinesMaintains a clean and organized work areaWill be required to rotate to various functions within the processing departmentPerforms other duties as assignedAccountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hourKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructionsMust be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to recognize numbers and their relationship to each otherEmployee must have the ability to read and understand basic math functions (- x )Employee must have the ability to read/speak and understand English as related to the paperwork requirements of the job (forms, logs, work instructions, and procedurePhysical Requirements:Standing (8 hours a day or more),Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more)Reaching overhead (up to and including 25lbs)Operating hand held and/or mechanical machineryClimbing stairsGripping, grasping and twisting using hands and wristsBending and stooping for long periods of time.Working Conditions/Department Description:May work in damp and cold environment (40 F- 50 F) Work with loud and noisy machineryWork in dusty environmentWork around pungent odorsWe embrace equal opportunity employment.
