Day Treatment/PAC Services Supervisor

The Day Treatment/PAC Services Supervisor is a professional involved in the supervision and coordination of activities required to sustain the Day Treatment and PAC programs which include services for clients with autism referred for Southwest Missouri Autism Project services (PAC). Day Treatment/PAC supervisor is responsible for providing quality of performance and organization in the effort to assure advancement of professional growth and development of staff. They are responsible for and have authority over the ABA Implementers and Behavior therapists and ensure that center policies and procedures are applied.

Day Treatment/ PAC Services Supervisor provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance use and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. DMH Services Supervisor demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. Day Treatment/ PAC Services Supervisor will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. Day Treatment/ PAC Services Supervisor reports to the Clinical Director of the Leffen Center.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Master's degree in education, psychology, or related field (preferred)

Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience working with individuals with autism and their families OR one year of experience working with individuals with autism and their families and one year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage supervision for members of the day treatment and PAC team through group and individual supervision sessions.
  • Act as a liaison between RBT staff and the Director of the Autism center by relaying information between them.
  • Supervising, demonstrating, and coaching intensive interventions provided to clients with autism within the methodology of Applied Behavior Analysis as necessary.
  • Assist with or conduct parent/ professional training sessions.
  • Regularly communicating with both staff and families to address scheduling needs.
  • Conducts bi-monthly staffing meetings of designated services offered under the auspices of the Leffen Center.
  • Evaluates each supervisee according to the performance evaluation guideline.
  • Facilitates the employee discipline process as per policy and procedure as needed.
  • Meets with the Clinical Director regularly and performs specific administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Typical physical demands include prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, stooping, and occasional team lifting to 200 pounds.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator, and other office equipment as needed.
  • Requires ability to work under stressful conditions and to work irregular hours and deal with irate individuals.
  • May require evening and weekend hours.
  • TB test upon hire.
