We are seeking a flexible, detail-oriented, and motivated individual to serve as a Utility Technician supporting operations across the kitchen, processing, and production departments. The Utility Technician will float between departments based on daily production needs, supporting various functions such as kitchen prep, processing assistance, and production line support. This role is critical in maintaining continuity of workflow, reinforcing team productivity, and ensuring adherence to company-wide quality and compliance standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Assist with kitchen activities such as ingredient scaling, gummy tray prep, and dishwashing.
- Support extraction and processing teams with material staging, equipment sanitation, and inventory handling.
- Perform basic tasks on production lines, including loading and unloading carts, moving trays, or restocking supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization across workspaces in accordance with department SOPs.
- Follow safety and sanitation protocols in each department.
- Communicate with department leads to understand and prioritize daily support tasks.
- Participate in cross-training opportunities to build multi-functional skillsets.
- Adhere to all SOPs, sanitation requirements, and handling procedures across departments.
- Follow all regulatory and internal standards related to product safety, traceability, and documentation.
Physical Requirements Manual Dexterity and Hand Strength
- Ability to handle tools, utensils, trays, and cleaning supplies with precision and care.
- Comfortable using hands for repetitive tasks such as weighing, loading, or wiping down surfaces.
Standing and Sitting for Extended Periods
- Able to stand or sit for 6-8 hours, depending on task assignments.
- Frequent movement between production, kitchen, and lab areas.
Lifting and Carrying
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and carrying of product trays, tools, or cleaning equipment.
Repetitive Motions
- Daily use of hands and arms for consistent motion across tasks such as dishwashing, mixing, trimming, cleaning, and setup.
Pace and Attention to Detail
- Capable of working at an efficient pace while maintaining accuracy.
- Responsible for assisting in the identification of cleanliness issues, supply levels, and task quality.
Visual and Quality Inspection Skills
- Observe and report issues in product quality or cleanliness.
- Read and confirm labeling, weight, and staging information.
Working Conditions Indoor, Controlled Environments
- Work occurs in kitchens, processing labs, and production areas with varying temperature and humidity.
Clean and Hygienic Work Areas
- Compliance with sanitation protocols required; PPE (gloves, coats, hairnets).
- Frequent cleaning and sanitizing.
Odor Exposure
- Regular exposure to cannabis and production-related odors, including oils and extracts.
Fast-Paced, Multi-Department Work
- Movement between workspaces based on priority needs.
- Regular coordination with multiple teams.
Regulatory and Compliance-Based Work
- Compliance with all facility SOPs and state cannabis regulations.
Ergonomic Considerations
- Anti-fatigue mats and ergonomically organized stations used to reduce strain.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 21 years of age, or older.
- Prior experience in cannabis production, food manufacturing, or assembly line work preferred.
- ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred, or willingness to obtain.
- Eagerness to learn and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to follow SOPs and safety guidelines precisely.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Missouri Agent Card.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
