Assistant Marketing Manager/Vendor Liaison Joplin, MO

Job Summary:

This multi-functional role combines leadership, productdevelopment, vendor sourcing, e-commerce operations, and internal systemssupport. You will be instrumental in driving new product strategy, managingvendor relationships, maintaining our BigCommerce site, and supporting bothadministrative and technical aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management

  • Oversee day-to-day department operations and providesupport to cross-functional teams.
  • Set and track performance goals, deadlines, and KPIs.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance,providing coaching and feedback.
  • Approve payroll, PTO, and manage staff schedulingusing Netchex.

New Product Development & Branding

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and launchnew products aligned with brand standards.
  • Assist with branding efforts including naming,packaging, messaging, and cross-platform consistency.
  • Maintain vendor catalogs, product specs, and e-commerceproduct listings.

Vendor Acquisition & Liaison

  • Proactively cold call/e-mail and contact new vendorsto secure product partnerships.
  • Evaluate supplier pricing, terms, and shippingpolicies.
  • Oversee vendor onboarding and collect necessaryproduct data, images, and documentation.

E-Commerce Administration (BigCommerce)

  • Manage the product team and create product listings,images, descriptions, pricing, and metadata.
  • Maintain brand and category organization for optimalnavigation and SEO.
  • Build and schedule promotions, site banners, andlanding pages.
  • Test and troubleshoot product or category issues onthe website.
  • Establish and uphold SOPs for listing uniformity andsite accuracy.

Marketing & Campaign Collaboration

  • Work with the marketing team on product launches,email campaigns, and seasonal promotions.
  • Assist with developing landing pages andproduct-specific marketing assets.

FileMaker System Management

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom FileMakersolutions for internal workflows.
  • Provide user support, troubleshooting, and trainingon FileMaker functionality.
  • Ensure security protocols, backup management, anddata validation practices.

Excel Training & Support

  • Conduct Excel training sessions (basic to advancedfunctions) for staff.
  • Provide one-on-one troubleshooting for formulas,tables, and spreadsheet organization.
  • Develop custom reference materials and walkthroughsfor team use.

Meeting Coordination & Documentation

  • Schedule and facilitate meetings via Microsoft Teamsand Outlook.
  • Take and distribute accurate meeting notes, summarizeaction items, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Create, format, and manage documents in Word andGoogle Docs; maintain shared file organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in e-commerce, productdevelopment, vendor relations, or marketing
  • Proficiency in BigCommerce or similar e-commerceplatforms
  • Advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUP,INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking ability withexcellent attention to detail
  • Experience with FileMaker or similar database tools(design and maintenance)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, andGoogle Workspace
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset andproblem-solving ability
  • 3 years of experience in Photoshop and Adobe products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the automotive or aftermarket partsindustry is a plus
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and e-commercemerchandising
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams oradministrative staff
  • Basic HTML or web troubleshooting skills

Working Conditions:

Job will include periods of standing, walking, stooping, andbending. Stair climbing and walking on uneven surfaces will be present. Longperiods of sitting and computer screen viewing will be required. Constant useof hands/arms due to computer data entry duties.
