Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a high acuity ICU with strong CVI understanding License: RN License required Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only, PALS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: Minimum 2 years in a high acuity ICU with strong CVI understanding Ability to titrate complex IV medications including vasopressors Description: The position involves caring for patients in a critical environment. The unit typically serves cardiothoracic surgical patients, sepsis, thoracic trauma, and general medical ICU level patients. You will need to have experience with CABG, cardiac surgeries, IABP, and Impella preferred. The estimated patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2. You will be responsible for using equipment such as IV pumps, vents, feeding tubes, and GE monitors. Flexibility and adaptability are essential traits for this role. A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are important for success. The dress code requires black scrubs, and any other color or unacceptable attire is not permitted.
