(Remote) Business Development Representative Harris Computer

A division of Harris, InHANCE is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Business Development Representative to join our team and drive the growth of our software in the utility market. We provide innovative software that optimizes billing processes, enhances customer self service, and improves utility management efficiency. This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada and the US. Up to 25% travel within the United States is required for demos and trade shows. Candidates based in Canada must hold a valid passport to travel.

What Your Impact Will Be
  • Report to the Director of Sales & Marketing. Generate a healthy pipeline of inbound prospects and convert them to customers, while proactively seeking outbound opportunities to drive revenue and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and target potential customers within the water utility sector to expand our customer base and market presence.
  • Research and analyze the utility industry to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to generate leads, nurture prospects, and close deals.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders including utility companies, municipalities, local governments and utility management agencies.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value of our utility solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop compelling materials, campaigns, and pitches.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote software and network with potential clients and partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to reach win-win outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, technological advancements, and best practices to maintain competitiveness.
  • Manage all lead and opportunity data within Salesforce CRM.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and business development activities to management.
What We Are Looking For
  • Proven track record in business development or sales, with 5+ years of direct experience selling to municipalities and local government.
  • Proven ability to self-generate leads and build pipeline.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and foster strong client and partner relationships.
  • Self-driven, proactive, positive, and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Hunter attitude and enthusiasm.
  • Preference for Salesforce CRM familiarity.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as required.
Salary

Salary: 65K
